Wajdi Balloumi is the president of I WATCH.
He previously led a three-country mapping project on women’s and youth livelihoods in Tunisia, Mauritania, and Sudan, and oversaw implementation of the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program in Tunisia. A former Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant and an Intercultural Innovation Award speaker, he studied political science and development studies at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He previously managed programs at CEED supporting Tunisian entrepreneurs and business growth, while also advancing women rights, youth empowerment, democratic governance and fighting corruption through civil society work.
