Authoritarian ideas, practices, technologies, and policies spread through interactions between myriad state and non-state actors across different locations and scales. Authoritarianism is an interscalar phenomenon. Democratic resistance will therefore also need to be interscalar.
RESISTANCE uncovers how these interscalar interactions operate and develops tools to weaken autocratic appeals and strengthen democratic resistance.
